Surveillance video shows an apparently disoriented John Wheeler inside a Wilmington, Delaware office building. The former presidential aide was later found dead in a landfill. (Jan. 5)

Yet Wheeler appears to me to be signaling to and pointing at someone...

1. Not Disoriented
Sure looks like he was waiting for someone, pointed to whoever it was, went down stairs to meet whoever it was. The front door was locked so he went to the elevator, to likely go to underground parking lot.

5. When he walks into the second hallway,
Edited on Wed Jan-05-11 10:07 PM by JDPriestly
he seems to touch things to his right. He is definitely not walking in a straight line. He does seem quite confused. You can't help but wonder where he came from and why he only has one shoe and is carrying and not wearing that shoe.

He walks to the end of the hall and then just closes the door. Hard to say why. Maybe the open door was causing the person behind the desk to be cold, and he was asked if he would close it. He flails his arms. Maybe he was upset that he couldn't get outside through a door.

He looks either slightly tipsy or perhaps ill. Maybe he had a small stroke. Maybe someone hit him or drugged him. He seems able to walk, but is a little dazed.

I am very sorry for his family. They must be going through a lot of pain right now.

3. 2 days before homicide
Edited on Wed Jan-05-11 08:49 PM by LandR
This video was recorded two days before his body was found, according to CNN in http://www.cnn.com/2011/CRIME/01/05/delaware.pentagon.official.death/index.html?hpt=C1">this article.

It also says "Wheeler's body was seen jutting out of a garbage truck Friday at the landfill by a spotter whose job it is to ensure that hazardous material is not dumped there."

Also, he is indeed carrying his shoe and apparently he was looking for his car.

7. Why is the camera moving?
Isn't a surveillance camera usually on a fixed mount?

8. I think he looks scared and frantic.
I think he's limping and that injury is adding to his panic. I wonder if he was being blackmailed and/or tortured, coerced into something? That kind of pressure - perhaps for Top Secret info - could make someone appear disoriented.

I'll be interested to see what the coroner's report has to say.
