In March, Hasselbeck says Palin crosshairs map is despicable and Palin should bear in mind that her "targets" have families and are real people.

After Giffords shooting, she says there is no evidence crosshairs or violent rhetoric is at all connected with Giffords shooting, so we shouldn't even mention it, adding that people who DO criticize the crosshairs map and similar rhetoric are creating an excuse for the shooter to point at for their actions, effectively blaming those who criticize the crosshairs, which Hasselbeck herself did in march.

When lists are made by those who wish harm to others, even in jest, it is wrong. Cross-hairs and guns with instructions to lock and load and a picture or address are wrong. Words and symbols have meanings and consequences and when declared by a political leader they are marching orders.

How can those who propose to revere the Constitution irresponsibly dismiss the meaning of the words they use as national figures? What is the Constitution but words?
