1. I'll gladly be the first on this post
to say "Thank You Unions." I was a non-Union carpenter for 15 years, mainly because of the mandatory, unpaid, anti-union sessions I was required to attend. When I finally woke up and joined a Union, my standard of living improved immediately. I had health insurance for the first time since I was a child. I could quit working from daylight to dark (often from 6a.m. to 12a.m.) to support my family. I was treated with respect by my employers.... a 180 degree difference.
Now that Union busting is stronger than ever, I fear for my children and grandchildren.
We have the worst wealth distribution of any country in the world. The wealthy pay less in taxes than their employees.
This reinforces the need for a peaceful revolution to overhaul (not overthrow) our government.
While the wealthy increase their wealth at an unprecedented pace in America, the wages of the average worker keep declining. Yes, it is because "they" are dismantling the Unions (almost complete) that through collective bargaining, keep the working class prospering a little.
The wealthy show their greed daily. They want to lower our wages so that we can "compete" with the slave wages that people in China and third world countries are paid. We need FAIR TRADE not free trade, and much stronger Unions.
Who do you think overthrew the Robber-barons?

2. Camels & Whips?
So when do we expect to see the gnarling dogs, galloping
camels and whips against the protesters . .

Anybody know?

3. this was one intense interview right here, and the producers almost needed to intervene
to calm things down, Hartmann said on his radio show today. Wow, I never knew that a Thom Hartmann show could melt down to Jerry Springer status.
