Can you imagine the fear of being stuck there, unable to afford to leave, when the authorities aren't saying a damned word, and not expanding the evacuation area? :(

this guy showed up to the Edano or TEPCO press conferences. I'd pay 5 bucks to see that.

6. I hope this rant gets national exposure. Spot on. |

The people deserve to know what is happening. The 'close your windows' is akin to duct tape. Useless.

TEPCO offices seeking some answers? Seems like the world just has to be satisfied with whatever the Japanese gov't., teevee, TEPCO decides to tell us which, we all know, is damn little.

8. I would like to know where this guy is if he is in Japan. I am in Tokyo, and all the TV |

stations here covered nothing but the earthquake and the problems with the reactors for most of the week. After about five days the commercial channels returned to usual programming but kept banners running along the bottom and down the sides giving the latest news. However the publicly funded channels at NHK continued to show nothing else up until today and presumably will continue to do so. Moreover, I notice no tremors occurred during his rant, and there has hardly been a three hour period when there wasn't at least a 3 level tremor here in Tokyo from March 11 until now.
Either he is panicked out of his mind, or full of bullshit. But the entertainment shows he is showing were off the air for at least five days or more after the earth quake, and the explosions were reported as they happend.
Keep in mind only seven days have passed.
I can tell he is not an native speaker of English, but he sounded as if he said there are 30,000,000 people in Tokyo. If so, he is only off by 17,000,000.
If he tuned to NHK, he could see reporters on the ground reporting from public buildings housing evacuees and interviewing residents still in the area. The TV stations have not hesitated to show the devastation and to report that all of the countermeasures to date have been ineffective in stopping the radiation.
Everyday I go out and in my neighbourhood, Ogikubo in Tokyo, people are on the street going about their daily shopping putting up with various shortages, remaining polite to each and no one is a panicked as this guy.
