Last night, Ann Coulter came on to The O'Reilly Factor and said this:
"There is a growing body of evidence that radiation in excess of what the government says are the minimum amounts we should be exposed to are actually good for you and reduce cases of cancer."
Yes, you read that correctly. According to Ann Coulter, radiation is actually the cure for cancer, and, no, she was not talking about chemo levels of radiation. She meant living in the shadow of Chernobyl.

1. Lets get her a good "healthy" amount then
and either she will be proved right, or we won't have to deal with her anymore. I say its worth the risk.

10. Seriously
Even the most fervent pro-nuclear scientist or engineer would never make the claim that excess radiation is good for anyone or anything. Doesn't even help inanimate objects as radiation pokes holes into objects. The strength of the material is questioned over time after being irradiated.

13. Great! Then let her get her fill by going to Japan and helping to seal the Nuclear Plant.
When she is done, she will be absolutely glowing. I never use the C word, but this person is the biggest, filthy, dirty C alive.

to the reactors to help fix them by dousing them with water.

All Fox News viewers should heed her advice and get a good healthy dose of radiation because it's good for you! Go ahead. Get a huge big whiff of the stuff. Knock yourselves out! Go crazy with it! Remember Fox News told you that it was good for you, and Fox News is fair and balanced!

27. Chernobyl Radiation Killed Nearly One Million People: New (2010) Book
http://www.commondreams.org/headline/2010/04/26

"NEW YORK - Nearly one million people around the world died from exposure to radiation released by the 1986 nuclear disaster at the Chernobyl reactor, finds a new book from the New York Academy of Sciences published today on the 24th anniversary of the meltdown at the Soviet facility.

The Chernobyl nuclear reactor was destroyed by an explosion and fire April 26, 1986. (Photo issued by Soviet authorities) The book, "Chernobyl: Consequences of the Catastrophe for People and the Environment," was compiled by authors Alexey Yablokov of the Center for Russian Environmental Policy in Moscow, and Vassily Nesterenko and Alexey Nesterenko of the Institute of Radiation Safety, in Minsk, Belarus.

The authors examined more than 5,000 published articles and studies, most written in Slavic languages and never before available in English....... "

btw..

"Bernard L. Cohen is a nuclear-industry apologist who claims that radiation exposure does not cause cancer. He is the equivalent of the (now discredited) Tobacco Institute "scientists," who claimed that smoking does not cause cancer..... " (from comments in the link above)

"I identified your "retired physics prof at Pittsburgh" as Bernard L. Cohen. You had not identified him by name. It's right there in black and white.

Anyone who Googles the name Bernard L. Cohen quickly learns he is infamous for claiming the link between radiation exposure and cancer is a "myth." (He also doubts climate change, and the link between smoking and cancer.)
