1. Interesting video.
It would really have to be one hell of a terrorist attack to bring a nuclear plant down, but the spent fuel pools are definitely a cause for concern, should a major earthquake cause any of the pools to drain.

Maybe this will revive calls for a secure storage depot like at Yucca Mountain? Of course, then there's the risk of transporting all that nuclear waste clear across country -- what if one of the trucks got in a wreck and ruptured?

Really, we ought to spend the money on re-processing all that waste and re-using it instead of just stockpiling more and more of it. But fresh new uranium is so much cheaper to obtain, there's currently no financial incentive to reclaim.

Definitely something worth contacting your congressperson over.
