then the first speaker (like Bill Bennett on CNN) either supports it or frames it for everyone to respond to. If they support it any counter to the point (Colmes was good here) is portrayed as opposition to an established truth, that truth is established in the first 20 seconds.

The delay in the "cut, cut" is probably the producers realizing that Colmes just owned them.
