I'm sure that once they figure out that the fee for not covering someone is less than covering them, it will be bye-bye health insurance coverage. And of course, the 32 million that are left out of the coverage...did you hear who that is, people who are undocumented.

14. This is how Canada got universal health care. One province tried it, then everybody else wanted it.

Tommy Douglas pushed for it in Saskatchewan. They got it, and the rest of Canada soon followed. If Vermont does it, and other states, the rest of America will eventually follow suit.

We'll get medicare for all some day. The examples of every other industrialized nation, and of our present medicare system for seniors cannot be ignored forever. One day, the conservatives fighting against medicare for all will seem as silly as the conservatives supporting slavery way back when.

Republicans are such pompous pricks. I worked in a teaching hospital in the neonatal ICU for 16 years and also in the mother/baby unit. Epidurals are a fairly recent adjunct treatment for labor, (used more in the past 15 years) and are given according to hospital policy during the first stages of labor, although some are given later stages. Looking at the incidence of epidurals in UK hospitals, you find that they have about 40% of their hospitals that provide epidurals. This isn't the same ratio that the US provides, but the studies in the UK show that they are trying to increase the availability of epidurals in the UK to equal that of the US. For this prick to say his sister was denied one because she was too healthy is probably half truth. If she went to a hospital that didn't provide them, well then she didn't get one, but also if she went and she was in a late stage of labor, she probably didn't get one either. If someone on these shows just had a computer and could fact check these assholes as they speak, oh what a wonderful television event that would be. Hey Bill, I'm available!
