This looks like some of the divide I have seen here on DU lately...

11. No not me....
I am sliding toward the "Obama should be doing more crowd." He gave me real hope during the campaign. I give him credit for some, but the latest cuts in spending really wore on me....

9. West got taken to the woodshed
It seems anyone that don't subscribe to firebag logic is a fool.. Al Sharpton did something I wish more people would do when debating a firebagger on TV call them out on their bullshit.

3. That was fun!
I actually think Al did a pretty good job.

But the underlying comedy here is that we are accused of disloyalty because we're angry about the president breaking all of his promises to his supporters.

4. This is fucking amazing
This is one of the greatest arguments of all time. Cornel West calls outs Sharpton and he just reacts so badly. This is what I want to see on TV, some real emotion, peoples real feelings, talking about real shit. I love Cornel West so much.

10. Dr. West actually initiated the attack on congress
but never let facts intrude on your comfy narrative.

12. Not in his exchange with Sharpton
Facts aren't on your side with this one. Anyone could see he was trying to defend them.

15. at 6:20
West targets not just congress, but the congressonal black caucus specifically.

But again why let the facts intrude?

Personally I think this criticism is not valid. The House under Pelosi's leadership was the most progressive institution in government. THEY passed a public option, only to find that the president had already negotiated it away.

16. Are you joking?
He merely says they haven't done enough to address poor working families. It was hardly a stinging critique. It still doesn't negate the fact he tried to place Congress' job squarely on the President's shoulders in 11:00. He tried to defend them. That's a fact. You're trying to defend Cornel by pointing out an argument I never made.

West initiated the attack on congress. Your word salad doesn't change my facts.

"It was hardly a stinging critique."

It wasn't? He accused the congressional black congress of favoring the black middle class over the black working class. He said they had been AWOL on the prison/industrial complex. Maybe you don't understand what a stinging critique is?

But as I said, the house of reps was very productive on progressive agenda items, though unfortunately they were undermined by the POTUS.

Undermined by the POTUS... LOL. Only a person in a coma could make that statement.

19. NY Times Reporter Confirms Obama Made Deal to Kill Public Option
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/miles-mogulescu/ny-times-reporter-confirm_b_500999.html

I've got a question for you. What will you be saying when the president negotiates away social security, medicare and medicaid? Will you be calling me a disloyal comatose extremist? Is there anything worth standing up for?

It was garbage the first time it was posted, but I'm not surprised you'd accept the words of the people who tried everything in their power to kill the deal.
