3. How was it a cave in?
Yes, I know anything Obama does has to be interpreted in a negative way here and in the PL world....that's just how things work here.....I expected this reaction....but the facts are Obama like many progressives wanted cuts to the budget....Obama agreed to cuts but would not go so far that it would hurt the recovery....the repubs/tea party wanted much much much deeper cuts and wanted all those crazy riders to be part of the final agreement....Obama would not budge, fought those nasty repubs, and the cuts were no where near where the repubs/tea partiers wanted it and none of the riders were included in the final agreement.

Obama took a stand and won!

6. You can't be serious
He pissed away 38.5 billion in spending cuts, after already surrendering more than 40 billion before the debate even began.

The Republicans started at 100 billion. They got 78.5 billion. How the fuck is that a victory for Obama?

You said "Obama would not budge, fought those nasty repubs"
He came out a few days ago and said that 33 billion was his limit...then he gave away another fucking 5.5 billion after that. That's fighting? I'd hate to see him cave in.

7. LOL, you cant be series. Progressives wanted cuts to the defense budget not social programs.
Obama won what? You and your friends are willing to compromise with the devil. It's time to stand our ground and fight.

13. First of all Pres Obama lost before he started. He compromises before he even has to.
Second, the fact that the Repubs allowed an extension (the damage isnt done yet) means they won. They are the terrorists that dont give an inch.
Third, Pres Obama's track record for negotiating is horrible.
Pres Obama is very popular with those on the right of center, the so-called New Democrats or Old Republicans. He is also popular with the DLC/Koch Bro.
Where do you stand? DLC? Right of center?

4. Sometimes I don't know who Obama is talking to, and it's hard
to stay his supporter, but not hard to do so when I see what the alternatives are.

But GEEZE........bragging about giving stuff to teabaggers......no, I can't see that many Dems like me will be happy about his statements here.

He should have come out and say he was railroaded, had no alternative to keep our troops paid and our parks open...

He gave the rich folks 150 billion in tax cuts 3 months ago, how he's giving the shaft to the poor and the middle class, and he's proud? Sorry wrong number.

I like disgust and anger like Reagan had for the USSR, Obama should have THAT for the tea baggers.

5. It's finally happened. I tried but didn't last very long.
I have reached the point where I don't want to hear the sound of Obama's voice.

I can't remember the last time he said something I wanted to hear.

It could be worse, I wouldn't even write or say the name of the last president.

8. Well, Obama will win in 2012...
He'll have the vote of astute repigs, Democrat apologists, and of course frustrated progressives who will have to hold our noses in the voting booth.
