1. Factory Farming is
immoral and disgusting. We should do away with it in the US also.

2. It is indeed both immoral and disgusting.
I can see a greater opportunity to avoid expanding this lunacy in those countries who still have control over their government, particularly as the U.S. government's influence over other countries continues to wane under its stupendous debt. But here in the U.S. however, I'm afraid that we must wait for the inevitable collapse of the system.

I say this mainly because it seems to me that the majority of the people being affected by the negative impacts of this idiotic farming model are either (1) ignorant of the effects of factory farming (by systemic design or self-induced intent), or (2) are dependent upon it and can't afford the true unsubsidized cost of food in a capitalist state (placing the environmental damages, costs and burdens on future generations to deal with), or (3) are being paid-off by the owners of it (directly or indirectly) to not only keep it going, but to expand its operations day by day irrespective of the environmental damage or health consequences. They just don't give a shit.

- In other words, I think that the "capitalist cancer" has spread too far to cut out without also killing the patient. It would take a revolution, something I don't see happening here. Not yet at least......

3. Number 2
Many of us can barely pay the food bill that is rising with everything else, and wages are dropping. I have been eating organically when I can, but it gets harder and harder, Our government is corrupt and in collusion with big corporate interests. So collapse is our best hope. I believe we are in the midst of collapse now.

4. I don't really want to watch this.
I had resolved a couple of weeks ago to stop buying milk anyway, now that it's all radioactive. Still waiting for them to ship my geiger counter...
