There's a good reminder in this story that the solution to the nuclear power/coal v. renewables debate is not a matter of picking the best technology as if one were shopping for a new car. That's essentially a consumerist attitude.

The solution found here though is both personal and political; abandon the consumerism, then organize the community to take control of it's own production and distribution.
