so well and his presentation was impressive, and encouraging. :hi:

2. Ah, those 3 dimensional chess players
Leak all this nonsense that Obama was going to cut entitlements, get the left all upset, then turns around and now he says no, not going to happen. We'll see. Wish I could be happier about this, but still feeling burned from all his previous reversals. Sincerely hope he doesn't do his routine fold. Repugs will lose if they cause a government shutdown over not raising taxes. Of course, what I expect is that Obama will fold on the taxes bit AGAIN. Hope he cares more for Medicare, Medicaid and SS than he does about taxes, because he completely sold us out the first time. Gave Repugs billions and got a tiny fraction of that for workers!!

3. A balanced approach to achieve $4 trillion in deficit reduction is the wrong approach: the correct
approach would be to eliminate the major causes for a 13-fold increase in national debt since the gipper foisted his brand of "voodoo economics" on America. The proper cure would in no way be balanced for the genesis of this increase can be attributed to a few totally out of whack fiscal and tax policies that anyone with even a modicum of knowledge and a lick of sense knows. :patriot:

17. Showing some spine is long overdue
It is also long overdue for the Republicans to stop acting like nihilism is a virtue and that the policies of the Bush years did not result in an abysmal failure.

So, I see the Republicans began whining about this speech. My bet that they won't stop. My bet, unfortunately, is that they will drag the country into the abyss trying to prove Reaganomics really works. Why don't they just try to repeal the law of gravity?

The night the Republicans won back the house was the death knell of America. We can't afford to let them have their way, we can't afford to do nothing and they won't compromise. The end result is that we're fucked.
