2. Connecting the dot - wish it was mandatory for everyone in our nation |
|
To watch this interview, and also the interview where Max Keiser goes ballistic. In part, he goes ballistic over this style of "government intervention" in which the government's inner players allow the Top Banking People the access to the money, all the while pretending that somehow this is going to "free up the money for people on Main Street."
This is Predatory Capitalism turned Socialism - but where the Socialism only helps you if you are already part of the upper one percent.
And inside the Rolling Stone article, Taibbi speculates that it is very likely the two women who got the 200+ millions of dollars from the Fed may never entirely pay it off.

And They Don't Care
They Screw Everybody Who Aren't In Their Kingdom's Court Not Just Once But Twice
They Jack Up Commodities Prices And Make The Taxpayers Pay
They Don't Care About Entire Families Losing Their Houses And Having To Go Sleep Under Bridges
They KNOW NOTHING WILL BE DONE AGAINST THEM TOMORROW
They KNOW NOTHING WILL BE DONE AGAINST THEM NEXT WEEK
They KNOW NOTHING WILL BE DONE AGAINST THEM NEXT MONTH
They KNOW NOTHING WILL BE DONE AGAINST THEM NEXT YEAR
They KNOW NOTHING WILL BE DONE AGAINST THEM EVER

11. A pertinent comment from Jesse Ventura |
|
Jesse Ventura mentioned recently on one of his TV appearances that for the last 50 years, through both Democratic and Republican Administrations, the Secretary of the Treasury has always come from Goldman Sachs?
I wonder if those mysterious "Powers That Be" had anything to do with this?

all this money, hoping to keep it from the public, and Congress doing nothing about it?? And as Matt Taibbi says, here are the Republicans screaming over a few milliong going to the poor for heating help, eg, while these individuals, and foreign banks are getting TRILLIONS in tax dollars and in some cased, do not have to pay it back??
I just can't find the words to express the outrage I feel as we watch these budget shenanigans, while Congress apparently is ignoring the giveaway of all this money to insiders and their wives??

17. Great point at the end. These were not Victimless Activities. |
|
All of these loans ended up driving up commodities prices, which are increasing what every one of us has to pay for our gas, our food, and everything we buy. It's bankrupting our towns and cities. All because the Fed gave Trillions in loans to any bank, company, or wealthy person anywhere in the world who came to them and asked for a free handout. All of it at our taxpayer expense.
