A new poll shows that 52% of Republicans do not believe slavery was the main reason for the Civil War. Cenk Uygur shares his take.

2. Cenk realizes how stupid Americans have become
And until his show beats out FOX in ratings, Americans will get more dumberer.

3. It's not the part of lies...
It's the party of Not-Intended-to-Be-Factual-Statements, Incorporated.

4. Well, of course it wasn't about slavery! I'm sure I remember presidential hopeful Michelle

Batshi.... uh Bachmann give a history lecture on how our founding fathers did not rest until slavery was abolished. According to her lecture, President John Adams fought tirelessly until that problem was solved. And since he died on July Fourth, 1826, there was no way that slavery was around to be fought over in 1861.

Come on guys! It was about states' rights. How could it have been about slavery?

6. It's so weird because back then the democrats were
pro slavery at all costs and many (not all) republicans wanted to phase out slavery. The true abolitionists were to the left of dems and republicans.
