Not everyone at Saturday’s tea party gathering in Madison, Wisconsin were fans of Andrew Breitbart and Sarah Palin.

The two popular conservatives had to talk over the boos of about 3,000 pro-labor supporters at the Capitol.

“Shame, shame, shame!” the crowd chanted, according to The Progressive.

“Tax, tax, tax the rich!” was another chant heard there.

“Go to hell!” Breitbart shouted back at the protesters.

Breitbart posted two short videos showing excerpts of a speech by Shirley Sherrod at an NAACP fundraising dinner in March 2010. The videos ensuing controversy resulted in Sherrod being fired from the United States Department of Agriculture on July 19. After it became clear that the videos Breitbart posted omitted the point Sherrod was making, Breitbart posted the complete 40-minute video of the speech revealing the true meaning of her statements in context.<34><35><36> The NAACP stated that the video excerpts aired by Breitbart were deliberately deceptive and said that he had "snookered" the group.<35><36> Tom Vilsack, Secretary of Agriculture, later apologized to Sherrod and offered her a new job.<37> In 2011, Sherrod brought suit against Breitbart for defamation.<38>

Breitbart was also involved in the 2009 ACORN video controversy. Hannah Giles<39><40> posed as a prostitute seeking assistance while James O'Keefe portrayed her boyfriend, and clandestinely videotaped meetings with ACORN staff.
