The Liberals have unleashed two new attack ads aimed at contrasting Michael Ignatieff with Stephen Harper as they enter the third phase of their election advertising campaign.

The ads – one on health care and the other on the Conservative Leader’s demands for a majority government – suggest to Canadians the “stakes are too high” to risk their vote on the Tories.

“Stephen Harper is demanding more time in power,” a female narrator says, over ominous music, in the second ad. “More tax cuts for big banks and oil companies; less protection for the environment, massive cuts to healthcare.”

It ends, “The stakes are too high. Vote Liberal.”

2. I think it's a coin toss...
Either a Liberal minority or another Conservative minority.

Harper's hoping for a Conservative majority, but I don't think the country is going to give it to him.

3. if i was a opposition leader...
...in a parliament. I would not bring a no-confidance motion if i was not confidant that I would win the election after I brought down the government.

4. Even if it meant passing a budget you really didn't like?...
or ignoring a contempt of parliament situation?

7. yes
because what if the other guys win and get a majority. If the government wins a election after a no-confidence motion its really embarrassing.

6. Same as America
Same as America. Same gang of banker scum owns both major parties. Same as America. Harper is a neocon, product of Straussite infestation at University of Calgary. Iggy was at Harvard for a looooong time, only returning to "his" country (which he had previously disparaged in print) when lured back by bankers and Bay-Streeters (ie., Canada's equivalent of Wall-streeters). There is a so-called "socialist" party there called NDP which is like Labour in Britain.. ie., takes money from working class people and unions etc. but follows the explicit policies dictated by the bankers nonetheless. There are a few small regional parties of no consequence, including faux-"separatist" parties in the province of Quebec (which is largely French speaking). Elections there are like elections everywhere now, ie., mere window-dressing to cover up the unquenchable greed of psychopathic bankers and their stooges.

8. Worldwide, the common people have to stand up and say "Fuck You" to power.
We can bring it all down whenever we want to by going on a general strike. If, that is, we can get a grand consensus for action.
