1. these people piss me off!! we all pay into private health insurance....

we do this while we are healthy. all that money goes into the private insurance companies. the only people in medicare are people who will need to use it. so they paid into the private system all those years and then went on medicare so that now medicare can shoulder the burden of the inevitable increase in need from an aging population. but the private insurers now get to keep all that money that was paid into their system. how is that not win win. The way a pool works is that you spread the risk. so medicare would work if everyone was paying into that instead of the for profit system. how often do i go to the doctor? once a year. how often do my kids go to the doctor? unless they get sick, once a year. this is insanity.

Dobbs says we can't afford Medicare (as if this is fact), then claims we can afford to pay 20 to 30 percent more for private for-profit health care. So why can we not, unlike the rest of modern nations afford health care for all our citizens? Could it be, that we don't tax the rich and corporations enough because politicians are taking bribes on K-St?

1. S & P is the SAME RATING AGENCY that gave those exotic derivatives that crashed the stock and housing market in 2008 an 'AAA' rating. HOW is it that they suddenly have credibility after that? Did anyone read Krugman's op-ed on the S & P rating of U.S. credit yesterday? He basically said it's a NON-EVENT.

2. Other nations with 'elaborate' single-payer systems provide BETTER CARE than our expensive assinine, profit-driven private insurance system. 37th in the world SUCKS. OTHER COUNTRIES have single-payer systems that work, work better, and are less expensive than ours and the hellbent penchant to avoid even considering one like theirs is based on pure corprat jackass stubborness and GREED. The lengths to which these schmucks went to avoid a conversation around that was quite telling.

3. the goddamn deficit we have now is NOT CAUSED BY nor does it have anything to DO with "Obamacare didn't address the problem". Jesus fucking Christ. Obamacare wasn't formulated to fix the goddamned deficit. It was formulated to get less expensive health care to more Americans.

The most expensive and least efficient. Health insurance companies are larded with wasteful spending like CEO and upper management bonuses that don't effect Medicare. Medicare also doesn't have to show a profit. Health care for profit is immoral, at least that's how the rest of civilization sees it.
