This is teabagger mythology. Those who think these bumpkins just fell off the back of the truck recently, haven't investigated the roots.
His former website, and no doubt the book he's hawking, began with an appeal to those, like myself, who have resisted years of degrading media stereotypes of both men and women.
But it ends with a frightening tale of conspiracy of manipulation of humans to serve an anti-Christian agenda. That's not the half of it. When you really go into all this conspiracy stuff the right is using, they insist it will kill almost everyone on the planet.
Those stories are potent stuff for those with a little knowledge and vivid imaginations, a source of great fear and anger for these folks.
