1. At least two very sad points. |
|
1) The President is using his "bully pulpit" only because it is election season. Currently he is telling the truth about the rethug plans. Of course, every time, he "compromises" (gives them everything and more that they want) during negotiations....
2) even though many Americans are waking up to taxing the wealthy and removing caps for the wealthy, when push comes to shove, the wealthy will be protected by both parties even though the rest of us are being destroyed by these policies.
We need to remove "for profit" health insurance from the equation. Everyone (should) understand that allowing these private companies to profit and decide what treatment we will get (which they DO), only benefits the companies (HUGE profits and really hurts people. We need to insist on Universal Health Care. It is time, the "two party system" depends on it (I hope) that we give the American what they are (finally) demanding, and stop listening to the wealthy and the corporations. This may be a great time to put that Jeanie back in its putrid bottle. Americans (of both parties) are finally waking up to the class wars. They want to tax the rich and let regular people have a break. If we had true leadership, that was not completely beholden to corporations and the wealthy, NOW is the time to make some FDR type of decisions that Americans are hungry for. If there was a Congressional bill of Impeachment for Clarence Thomas (at least) and Antone Scalia, the American people would support it and demand an end to "Citizens United."
