Bradley Manning supporters break into protest song at $35,000 Obama fundraiser
By Daily Mail Reporter

Barack Obama appeared bemused last night after his campaign fundraiser was disrupted by protesters who burst into song about the detention of the U.S. soldier accused of giving classified data to WikiLeaks.

Obama's administration has been criticised over the treatment of Private Bradley Manning, although the President said the Pentagon has assured him the soldier is not being ill-treated while he is awaiting trial.

Obama was addressing 200 people -- many of whom paid as much as $35,800 to see him -- when a woman in a white suit stood up and announced that she and nine others sitting at her table had written a song for him.

1. Seeing the way the right spins liberal dissatisfaction - seems Obama should start LISTENING to us.

To anticipate the "shut up and sit down" advice we're about to get...

The right has a way to handle it's extreme members - LISTEN TO THEM AND DO WHAT THEY WANT.

Only IMO, the whole country could do itself (and the world) a favor by listening to the "extreme" left of the party... FOR ONCE.

*WE* have *THE* answers, as proven by science and history and not by some semi-religious economic beliefs.

We just want things to work... FOR THE PEOPLE, the VOTERS, not those people rich enough to piss away $5,000 on a lunch.

2. The thing is...
At least Obama was civil. Had this been BUSH, those women would be splayed flat on the floor, in handcuffs and dragged away by their hair. On the other hand, I would have liked for the President to have taken this seriously enough to answer questions about Manning.. and why people like Congressman Kucinich can't visit him. That disturbs me a lot. Everyone seems to know Manning has been mistreated by the Military, and yet to the US government, its no big deal. Really??

3. Bradley Manning, a political prisoner in the eyes of the world
Military moves to further isolate Bradley Manning with transfer to Kansas

Congressman Dennis Kucinich declared today, “Any move of PFC Manning does not change the underlying fact, which has not been disputed by the Department of Defense, that he has been held under conditions which may in fact constitute ‘cruel and unusual punishment’ in violation of the 8th amendment.”

4. This is Great and almost exactly like people who disagree
(as I do) with MANY things about this administration should be ALLOWED (which, the woman was unfairly "escorted" away by the SS) to protest. She (they) had the money (that is what everything in America is about) to attend this fundraiser and they voiced their opinions (which should have been addressed and not then forced to leave the event) in a peaceful manner. The SS (very appropriate initials) should have let her stay and the President should have spoken to the issue.
I agree that had this happened to Bush, just like with Hitler, there would have been a physical response. It made me sick that he made sure every attendee of "public forums" were rabid supporters instead of average Americans. Then when they established the "free speech zones" miles away from every event, it was obvious that this was a dictator, not a public servant. I bet they still have these "free speech zones" which should be proof to every American that our elected Presidents are NOT receptive to the public.
IDK, but I am proud that these Americans, with large expendable incomes, expressed themselves to the President.
