The U.S. is sending armed drones to target Gaddafi's forces, but Eric Stoner, the editor of the website http://wagingnonviolence.org/, says the move will only cause more innocent deaths. Asia Times correspondent Pepe Escobar told RT that Washington's initiative to send its drones is just another step along the path towards a U.S.-led ground operation.

They're doing it in a sneakier way this time, since their other two, or is it three, wars are not very popular but I am willing to bet that Libya is going to be occupied by foreign forces and that there will be military bases built there.

It is imperative for the Western powers now, aside from the oil, to place themselves in a strategic position in Libya so that Egypt and Tunisia now no longer likely to be ruled by friendly dictators doing the bidding of the US and their allies, aren't joined by Libya in their mission to change to a more democratic and independent region, free from Western influences. The Western powers are not going to give up their colonial ways easily.

I feel for the people of Libya. And they were so clear that they did not want this. As if what they want matters. Just like the Iraqi people.
