1. Compelling argument Thom
and this schmuk thinks 12 bucks a year is gonna ruin shoppers. Two people can blow past 12 bucks with ONE meal at any fast food emporium! I'll tell ys - these Right-Wing dweebs are either cold-hearted or simpleton stoopid!

3. An excellent segment, highly recommended.

I would say David was a pro-corporate regressive in his dismal outlook.

5. Of course, Selig doesn't have to live on $12 per hour. He's likely pulling down
a couple of mil per year, if not more.

Greed. Pure and simple. No empathy.

7. I am given to wonder how much in Wal-Mart stock he owns.

He just continues the Regressive Republican pile-on of demeaning American workers, the poor, and the very facts themselves.

13. the ruling class counts on US workers just not caring enough to stand up
Edited on Tue Apr-26-11 05:37 PM by szatmar666
and they are sadly proven right. If workers were really hurting they would organize no matter what the law said simply because the alternative would be homelessness and starvation. Most people are simply not at that threshold thanks to 100 years of liberal policies. Catch 22, isn't it?! BTW there were no "card check" laws in 1880.

8. almost made it through
This guys is basically saying 'be glad you have a job'. Now this statement that only lower middleclass shops at Walmart is not factual. I can tell you there's a Walmart in all compass directions where I live within 10 miles. They corner the market. Like Thom said virtually becoming a monopoly. I will go to smaller local stores..Ace, Radio Shack etc before going there just to patronize the stores that have been here before Walmart. But when I drive by I see LOTS of big SUV's and large extended cab trucks. New ones, not 10 years old. Jags and corvettes as well. People who work for Walmart could not afford the vehicles I see in the parking lot, and we don't live in a rich neighborhood either but people who do..certainly go to Walmart.
