Conservatives have long asserted that secular American society is waging an ongoing war on the Christian faith, and in particular, its two most recognized holidays: Christmas and Easter. The claims are predictable and stale and, more often than not, pass without much notice. But over the past two days, conservative outlets have trumpeted the idea that President Obama has a vendetta against Easter, a claim so outrageous that White House Press Secretary Jay Carney laughed when he was asked about it Monday.

Despite the fact that Obama hosted an Easter prayer breakfast last week, attended a Christian church service on Sunday morning, and hosted the annual White House Easter Egg Roll yesterday, conservatives are complaining that Obama chooses to recognize Islamic holidays while ignoring Christianity. Fox & Friends host Steve Doocy was on the case, welcoming inflammatory pastor Richard Jeffress on the show to make the veiled suggestion that Obama is a closeted Muslim who poses a very real threat to American Christians.

not worth my time. I believe Scripture warns of sanctimonious judging. It reveals the arrogance of a small heart. Something about seeing a speck in your brother's eye while ignoring the log in your own. That's why you are judged automatically by those listening in the same manner. It's that obvious. I have more problems with RW evangelicals because of this. They do a disservice to practicing humble christians who actually walk the walk. Knowing Scripture does not a christian make.

I apologize for Christianity (but not necessarily for Christians that do this). They don't understand their own bible. They are trying to force the secular government to uphold their traditions.
That was never the intent of Jesus or Christianity and directly counter to the bible (I believe there was also something there about "false witness".
So-called "Christian" leaders like this are false prophets who have sold their souls for political influence. Each of them is scrambling to be the next Jerry Falwell.

Actually any religion can be a problem, (Christianity most, because there are more of them in the USA, and they are all convinced that FAITH is stronger than factual science, and THAT is holding our world back).
