1. Perry wouldn't say that unless a meteorologist forecast it. Perry ACTS a role as Christian

for political power - just like the Mamman worshipping Bushes.

The forecast has been for rain in the South and Southeast today, tomorrow and Thursday since last Friday.

3. And now we Texans are saying: please stop praying -- we've had too much rain too fast.
;-)

Maybe not enough to end the drought; but too much for the short time the cloudbursts hit. And the tornadoes and the hail sure don't help, either.

6. I asked a fundie a question of similar dynamic
During impending catastrophes ( plane crashes, natural disasters etc ) people pray and yet die or suffer harm anyway. To what do we attribute God's indifference? I cautioned not to use the hackneyed "God works in mysterious ways" BS and prodded very aggressively. He just played the faux sympathy card said he feels sorry for me.

Seriously though: If the fundie's God knows of suffering and does nothing, wouldn't that make him less than virtuous? And if he does know and yet can't prevent harm, wouldn't that demonstrate he's not all-powerful?

9. Texas Governor Rick Perry Asks Texans to Pray for Rain
As wildfires scorch Texas due to droughts, Governor Rick Perry decides to take some action. He's not a Republican who will turn a blind eye to what's happening to our climate! What does Rick Perry decide to do?

Call for Texans to pray for rain, of course!

10. Not THIS again!
Remember they did this in GA a while back.

They made a public announcement they prayed for rain....and behold! It rained! Drizzled actually.

There is NO TRUTH to the rumor the Gov was seen checking the Acu-weather forecast on Weather.com. the day before! :eyes: :eyes: :eyes:
