Please watch this video--you'll love it.

It's just ten minutes and it's really worth your time.

Please please watch it!!! And if you like it, please invite friends over to your home to watch it with you and discuss the ESRA, which you can find by clicking here:
http://www.spiritualprogressives.org/article.php/20100427162647109

And if you really really like it, ask your Congressperson to endorse House Res. 156 which endorses the ESRA. get your City Council to endorse it, state legislators, local pollitical party, civic organizaitons, etc.

Let us know, please, if you'd like to be involved in building this campaign! You are probably as fed up as we are with the way corporations and the super-rich seem to have control over most elections and hence are getting a free pass to continue to exploit and hurt the planet, prevent meaningful reform, and undermine the needed care for the most vulnerable people in our society. The change we need will only come when we can reduce their power--and this is the way to do it.

If you live in:
SF BAY AREA There is a training session on these issues with Rabbi Lerner and Peter Gabel tonight, April 28, 7:15 p.m. at the home of Dr. Abby Caplin, 38 Wawona Street. San Francisco, in the West Portal area, northeast of 19th and Sloat in SF. Bring vegetarian food only for a light pot-luck or eat before you come! Use Mapquest or Google to find how to get there, or call Abby at ---415-255-9981. You MUST RSVP mike@tikkun.org (This is a last minute reminder--if you open email from us, you got this invite two weeks ago)

NYC Metropolitan Area Rabbi Lerner will discuss these issues at the Newark Peace Summit (he's on a panel with the Dalai Lama, then will do his own workshop) on Friday, May 13. Then, he will provide more detailed training at an NSP meeting in Manhattan on Monday evening, May 16. If you wish to come, please contact Nanette Schorr at nhschorr@earthlink.net for the location and time.

Can't come, but want to be involved in this campaign? Send us an email telling what you'd be willing to do (e.g. meet with elected representatives, write emails and letters to them or to community organizations seeking their endorsement, approach media people, organize house meetings, outreach on the web, other ideas...etc. Send to miriam@tikkun.org

From TIKKUN Magazine, and Network Of Spiritual Progressives.

4. Evening kick.
This is a great video. What a great tool to teach people about corporate personhood. Perfect for kids, too. I know my 5th grade civics class did not teach about corporate personhood.

6. Thank you! I hope you will tell NSP that. Are you going to use it with kids?
Maybe soften them up a bit first with the Oreo Budget. ^_^
