EARTHLINGS is a powerful and informative documentary about society’s treatment of animals, narrated by Joaquin Phoenix with soundtrack by Moby. This multi-award winning film by Nation Earth is a must-see for anyone who cares about animals or wishes to make the world a better place. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=385x546854

Carbs make you fat. Always have, we're just too sucked in to the falsely reported "research".

Carbohydrates are a unit of measurement.
Not living a physically active lifestyle is the cause of fat Americans.

Obama Drastically Scales Back Goals For America After Visiting Denny's Obama will abandon complex policies on emissions, clean coal and refocus on achievable goals like applying deodorant daily, learning what to say when you burp. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=385x322531http://www.theonion.com/video/obama-drastically-scales-back-goals-for-america-af,14343/

1) I wasn't aware that there was a constitutional right to be stupid. Is it somewhere in the right to privacy?
2) Why has Guy ignored this oasis in his FoodTV show Drive-ins, Diners, and Dives?

7. Those people will be sorry |
|
when they reach their late 40's and 50's and can't afford their medical treatments.....but then thinking about it, maybe they won't live to reach their late 40's and 50's.
Gluttony and stupidity at its finest - just unbelievable!

9. Having recently had heart surgery for a non-diet, genetic condition... |
|
I can honestly say, you don't want to go through it. And my surgery went off without a hitch and the recovery has been fine because I am relatively young. You might only have one life, but you also only have one heart (barring transplants) and these people will have much to be sorry for if they don't realize it soon.
/stepping off soapbox now.

11. I'm not gonna judge these folks. |
|
I've smoked (part of) one cigarette in my 66 years. While I was a skinny rail as a kid, in the service I started to put on the girth. Now I weigh a third more than I ought to. I prepare most of what the wife and I eat. We have a burger and fries once a week - and not the largest one on the menu either. I eat GOOD stuff - I just eat more than I need, to maintain.
If I croak tomorrow, I doubt I'll have one regret (think of escaping the madness of the GOP/TeaBagger crush!). If there IS an afterlife, I may well daydream about a large shake and an order of onion rings!
