I had to put up with this sort of crap growing up. My grandmother tried to raise me in the Assembly of God church (Yeah, them!). I escaped! It's nice to be reminded why I left!

Oh, and I'm still having trouble with these people. I visited my aunt and cousins over Easter and got a another load of this. My cousin, who was attending a Catholic church has now gone back to the Assembly. She was giving me a load of this end-times, 'you-better-take-up-your-bible-study-again' crap. My aunt was listening to screaming preachers on one of the 24-hour religion channels.

40 years after the creation of Israel. That is what many Christians believed. Hal Linsey's best selling book: "The Late, Great Planet Earth" predicted this. I grew up with this non-sense as a kid.

The preachers would constantly talk about how the Soviet Union would take part in a final battle, and many other prediction that can never come true. Hal Linsey and the rest got everything wrong. Religions should stick with predicting the past by retroactively claiming their prophesies have already came true. They suck with prophesies of the future.
