1. I saw it live
I will never forget it. I was watching TV and saw him shot. I don't remember if it was live or a film but I do remember how surreal it was.

3. If you click the link, you'll find a whole set of 6 clips
That go from the start of his speech. This is the full coverage, and you might be seeing what you saw that day.

2. I remember a feeling of shock, and resignation.
Edited on Thu Nov-16-06 10:34 PM by niallmac
It was like a personally addressed letter from the
dark powers in charge stating "This is what we think
of idealism."

edit: 'resignment?'

4. I remember a sense of hopelessness
All the "good guys" were being killed. I also felt a sense of profound sadness for the Kennedy family. They had gone through so much.

In my first visit to Arlington which occurred this year, I was touched by the simplistic beauty of RFK's simple wooden cross on the hillside. That was his wish.

6. Abraham, Martin, and John
Abraham, Martin, and John
Sung by: Dion
Words and Music by Richard Holler

Anybody here seen my old friend Abraham?
Can you tell me where he's gone?
He freed lotta people but it seems the good they die young
You know I just looked around and he's gone

Anybody here seen my old friend John?
Can you tell me where he's gone?
He freed lotta people but it seems the good they die young
I just looked around and he's gone

(brief instrumental interlude-organ)

Anybody here seen my old friend Martin?
Can you tell me where he's gone?
He freed lotta people but it seems the good they die young
I just looked around and he's gone

Didn't you love the things that they stood for?
Didn't they try to find some good for you and me?
And we'll be free
Some day soon, it's gonna be one day

Anybody here seen my old friend Bobby?
Can you tell me where he's gone?
I thought I saw him walkin' up over the hill
With Abraham, Martin, and John

5. Book 'The Senator Must Die' by Robt Morrow was shut down

Showed a lot of info re the girl in the polka dot dress, Special Unit Senator (headed by a LAPD/CIA officer), and a purported Pakistani connection...very interesting book.

BTW, the Ambassador Hotel was owned by the Schine family of McCarthy-era fame. Very interesting.
