1. In a civilized country, those cops would already be awaiting trial |

You don't need to be disabled to get one. The guy was running away. A trip was the minimum the officer could do to stop him from getting away. Good police work this time; minimal violence, good take-down, no punching, kicking, baton work, mace or shocking.
And I hate police, in general.

5. Where's your "sarcasm" symbol? First, it is a "Jazzy" wheelchair, not a scooter. |

I know 'cause I was able to get that exact model for my mom. It's true, you don't have to be "disabled" to get one, but unless you have over $4000. dollars to buy one - why would you? To drink in public and elicit sympathy from onlookers?
Please.
As for showing restraint: picking up the guy out of his powerchair- disabled or not- and throwing him to the pavement that smashed his face, hardly shows the kind of "restraint" most of us here understand...

Did you miss all the blood on the pavement? He was slammed down ........ not good police work! Cowardly, and I hope they get punished for it.

7. I can't tell if you are serious, or missing the sarcasm tag. |
|
They lifted him out of the chair, the officer on the left stepped in front of him as a take-down trip, and they slammed him to the pavement. The 'suspect' never took a single step. He did not stand up under his own power.

8. Thank god those police saved us all |
|
The guy in the wheelchair was obviously just about to attack someone, I'm so glad the police saw that the only reasonable course of action was to slam the guys face into the pavement. Top notch police work.
