NATO is boosting its military potential near the border with Russia, despite objections from Moscow. The U.S. has struck a deal to station fighter jets in Poland, which will also house American interceptor missiles.
The agreement came during President Obama's visit to Warsaw on Saturday. The missiles, which are part of the U.S. defence shield, will be put in place by 2018. Russia has repeatedly called for a joint system, but Washington wants two separate missile shields. At the G8 summit on Friday, the Russian President expressed concern about America's position.
Radio host and author from Chicago Stephen Lendman told RT that Russia's concerns on the American missile defence system may be well-founded.
