Embedding to YouTube doesn't work yet. The last time I talked to them about it they said they were looking for someone to hire to assist them with that.

11. The person who posts the video has to permit embedding |
|
You don't need a link. Just click anywhere on the youtube screen and that takes you directly to the original video on the youtube site.

2. Murder. Simple as that. |
|
The cops should be in jail already.
Waiting for the inevitable defense of anything police do in their tough jobs in 3..2..1..

6. The worst part is they killed the poor dog? Are you serious? |
|
The death of the dog was terrible, but he was a police dog, trained to attack. How about the dead human being?

The guy should have put the gun down when the police ordered him to. If he would have done as he was told, he would still be alive. While I think the officers made a horrible mistake, none of it would have happened if he had done as told. The real tragedy isn't that another criminal was killed, but that a potentially "good" cop is going to go to jail for doing his job.

8. You dont shoot people for not following orders. |
|
You have no idea of what state of mind this person was in or if he was a criminal or having a psychotic episode. For all you know, he has mental health issues and is usually a sweet person and ran out of meds. You don't know what the circumstances are, and you don't shoot people for not follwing orders. You only shoot as a last resort.
They let the dog loose and than unloaded on him with a machine gun. He did not fire first.
This is murder. I wouldn't call it 1st degree, but definitely negligent. The victim's family has a civil case.

There ya go.
Your line of reasoning would allow deadly or excessive force anytime the cops come across someone who is not perfectly compliant. I would hazard a guess that most of their day is spent dealing with people with compliance problems of one sort or another. I don't want the cops to be allowed to shoot at nearly everyone they encounter each day. Do you?
Their job description is to protect and serve the public. I don't see anything in there about vigilante justice, impatience justifying murder, or on the spot justice meted out by a Bubba with a buzz cut on the side of the road.
A good cop would have defused the situation. Fake cowboys with jumpy trigger fingers and poor supervision and training shoot surrounded suspects when they get tired of telling a black boy to drop his only means of protection to fend off 15 armed rednecks with German Shepards.
I don't defend anything this guy did before, during or after. All I am saying is he did not deserve to die, and if you listen to the cop's audible reaction in the background after the shooting, they agree.

12. The cop wasn't doing his job |
|
Listen very carefully and you will hear the cops admitting that one of them started shooting accidentally.
They killed their own dog. That's not part of a cop's job.

5. Always Remember That The Cops Work For "The Man" |

"The Man" don't like his subjects protesting or acting out.
The subjects are all of us "Joes" whether you realized it or not.
