This is a video filmed by the Military Police (Guardia Nacional) personnel themselves, apparently during the intervention last saturday.
It certainly raises some questions about its veracity.
How the hell could this footage leave the hands of the Guardia Nacional who filmed it?
I don't know and I find it quite strange.
Is it authentic?
There are three different footages put together. The first one is the longest (6:19). The last one is in the morning and shows the guardias' faces. We do easily recognize the penitentiary in the first part. I really don't know if this could be a montage since I have no expertise on that. So judge for yourselves.
To understand the context, it's also important to know that the prisoners had a huge amount of military weaponry themselves, going from assault rifles to hand grenades (see the ministry's pictures). Therefore, it is quite an intense exchange of fire that we see.
