Includes:

------------------------------------

Brit Hume: "When I heard that there had been this attack... I thought, 'Hmm, time to buy'"

------------------------------------

"Their first topic, believe it or not, was global warming, and their second was African aid... they should know, and they do know now, that terrorism should be number one." ...

"The topic has changed" (laugh)

"That works to our advantage, and the Western world's advantage, for people to experience something like this together"

"It puts the number one issue back on the front burner... It takes global warming off the front burner, it takes African aid off the front burner..."

------------------------------------

John Gibson: "If they had picked France instead of London to hold the Olympics, it would have been the one time we could look forward to where we didn't worry about terrorism. They'd blow up Paris and who cares?"

------------------------------------

Gibson again: "The bombings in London. This is why I thought the Brits should have let the French have the Olympics - let somebody else be worried about guys with backpack bombs for a while."

Fox News: carrying on the age-old British jingoistic mantra, wishing ill for the French. Amazing that these people on Fox don't hide their hill billy American or their British trackie bigotry at all.

4. One thing to keep in mind
is that this was not long after the French government stood up to the Bush administration in opposing the Iraq War, which, as you'll recall, provoked a lot of resentment of the French among right-wingers.
