Bristol Palin paid a visit to The Tonight Show this evening to plug her new memoir, but Jay Leno seemed more interested in talking about whether her mom plans to run for president. When Leno asked Bristol if there was any reason her mom shouldn't run, comedian Don Rickles exclaimed "'Cause she could lose!" The audience responded with resounding applause and things turned a wee bit awkward for a moment.

Oh, and while we're at it - more from Jay "Funnier Than Conan" Leno:

no matter what we do..." Yeah, like Sarah and Bristol have worked so hard not to be in "the spotlight."

There's nothing that screams "We want our privacy" as much as bus tours, reality TV shows, lecture circuits, ghost written memoirs, and appearances on The Tonight Show.

She is trailer trash. Why does anyone care about her memoir? What is it, a comic book? "We're going to be in the spotlight no matter what we do" YOU AND YOUR MOTHER CRAVE THE SPOTLIGHT BRISTOL!!! Why else would would someone with nothing to say be writing memoirs? (Or perhaps 'dictating memoirs to ghost writers' would be more accurate?)

Man I can't wait for Bistol to get knocked up again- Hopefully after they've made abortion illegal in Alaska, so they'll have to sneak her down to some blue state to get it done...
