I saw this when it first aired on CSpan, and I was SO moved by it, I bought the book immediately.
Let me say, I was raised as a Catholic, spent 97 years in Catholic schools growing up, and ever since I realized that any kind of organized religion is bullshit, I've considered myself a 'spiritual' person who tries to live their life by the tenets of Jesus' message.
That said, however, there is nothing in what he says or writes that runs counter to what my gut tells me about the origins of faith, and the havoc it has wrought throughout the centuries.
He has helped me redefine they way I think of the word 'spiritual', and while I would still consider myself to be just that, my understanding of why has been dramatically altered.
His book, 'The End of Faith' is a MUST read for people on both sides of the faith issue. It really does contain the most clarity I've ever read on the subject.

However, I think it's important to respect people's culture.
Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism etc are also vast cultures that have contributed immensely to the world's art, architecture, literature (and even science at some points in history).
