Jeremy Scahill: Bush administration authorized ‘sick torture tactics’

Posted on 08.4.11
By Eric W. Dolan

Jeremy Scahill, national security reporter for The Nation, appeared on Current TV’s Countdown with Keith Olbermann Thursday night to discuss the latest revelations about waterboarding and other “water treatment” torture practices used by the Department of Defense.

“What we are learning is more sick details of torture tactics that most certainly were authorized and advocated at the highest levels of the Bush administration,” he said.

Scahill also noted that Obama has an “extremely poor record” of holding U.S. agents accountable for alleged acts of torture.

1. DOJ's priorities are twisted when it passes on investigating this &, instead, goes after
whistleblowers who only want to help create a better world by pointing out corruption.

2. Bush is one sick dude, always has been -
Like all republicans he's missing that part of the brain COMPASSION....He'd rather see pain inflicted on people....When he was governor he enjoyed sending people on death row to their dead George W Bush holds the despicable all time record for all governors of putting more people to death...He's a Ted Bundy but too high profile to do it himself so he does it indirectly and watches via video of all his illegal torture he gave the OK for and encouraged....He's a sociopath, psychopathic just like Cheney & Rove and all the other greedy sick slimy republicans. I'm sure Bush and all his sick degenerate arrogant vindictive rich old boys love watching the torture tapes at the club or home over a few beers & shots! No doubt about it!!

6. If you read the work of Dr. Robt. Hare you'll see that Bush has
all the indicators of psychopathy, right down to his continual malapropisms which no one could ever puzzle out.

3. What sickens me most is that our current administration won't arrest and try
these war criminals. Maybe some country will, but not the U.S.

It's our job, but someone else will have to do it.

8. How many extra-judicial murders will be charged against Bush/Cheney?
Ordering people killed is truly reprehensible and must be reconciled with the rule of law!
