He help create some of the first pro-union laws IIRC
He created all the national forests and parks, giving them protection from congress.
He was an amazing learned man, and one we should all model ourselves after.
he was fluent in several languages and a voracious reader including books in latin, german, and french!
The man always loved learning, writing, and teaching.

As a safari hunter he understood and knew every animal he went after. he had respect for those animals, and was a true hunter in every sense.

He was a true Conservative, in that he conserved!

He was a liberal thinker, before being liberal was a dirty word.

We would do so well to have such a person in the office now, as opposed to the limp noodle we have!

I never understood why my hard right father holds TR in such low regard. I just figured he thought he wasn't conservative enough. Now after seeing this cartoon, I know why. My father is a HUGE Palin and Beck fan.
