3. I agree with most of what he said.
I just think he should add the need to get corporations out of our voting process (get rid of blind loyalty to unknown computer programs counting votes) and return to fair election laws that are enforced everywhere.

5. World War II and cheap Oil kept this country moving forward
now that these are "drying" up America is losing ground in every metric except defense spending.

6. I agree, but...
I agree with pretty much everything you said, but I just about dropped my coffee when I saw the picture you put up to talk about furthering gay rights. I'm sorry, but those two women aren't lesbians. Now, if you want to talk about a federally funded porn industry...

:spray: :spray: :spray:

8. So right! It's about time we pushed the liberal agenda like the repugs have never seen!
It amazes me how much the right-wing ideology and the tea party actually *rely* on falsehoods. They complain about the liberal media even today! Even that liberal news sources never had the upper hand in media. They ignore the fact that everything they complain about in terms of the economy is because of *their* policies and ideas being enacted.

They tried to make "liberal" into a pejorative. It's not and they are beginning to fail at sustaining that idea. It's time we did fight back. Their brand of conservatism is just idiocracy. We have almost been backed into a corner. It's time to take back the Democratic party and use common sense, reason, understanding, truth, and science to govern our society. Their version uses selfishness and religious doctrine as their means of governing. We see what that causes. Let's not let them win.

9. It was about being right, not about being correct
The truth is complicated and often ambivalent.

A lie is easy and spreads fast.

And it's comforting. It's so much nicer to think that the reasons things are falling apart is some fifth column of capitalist hating hippies then the idea that the system you have relied upon all these years simply isn't sustainable.

OR as Colbert said, it's about Truthyness.

10. The election of Obama was exactly that -
the first strike in our war of aggression in retaliation - what we did not understand, and only came to know when it was too late, was that Obama was not for progressives, nor against conservatives - he was simply pro Obama.

You can't win with an extreme narcissist.

I remember reading about Obama before he became famous, a documentary detailing how he was being groomed for the run at President, however there was one major draw back that needed to be overcome before he would be unbeatable - he was arrogant and condescending in the extreme, he was a devout narcissist.

They overcame this to create a more humble, human demeanor - and you have what you see before you now - a well spoken facade.
