That's what we're going to read in Obama's memoirs. That is, if he fesses up. Or maybe he will just stay in character and keep lying like a televangelist.

2. I don't know, I'd really like to know if we mis-read Obama, if he always was.. |

on Wall Street's side, and just made us think he was on OUR side. Or, if he met with such insurmountable resistance, and pressures from the plutocrats and the money folks.......he just couldn't do the job of fighting for us.
He sure is disappointing all of us here, I think that's obvious. The reason Obama is doing what he is doing, I can't figure it out. He would have SO MUCH MORE SUPPORT if he were still fighting for the common guy/gal.

Cenk is talking about the pack of potential Democratic candidates and points out (with some surprise) that this Sen. Obama has been quite successful in fund-raising, hanging right in there with Hillary Clinton. The signs were there to read him correctly.

wrong person, or in the wrong way, while holding office, not the worst crime in the world, for sure, but it SURE WRECKS one's chances of continuing to hold office, or to assist your allies and supporters hold office, too.
Clinton damaged Gore's chances, turned independents toward that new idiot on the block from Texas, instead of the egg head Gore who was quoted so much in support of keeping Clinton in office. Spitzer could have done more for NY state, and probably run against Obama in 2012 primaries and been elected. Wiener, well, only time will tell, I have a feeling he will be back in office as a NY representative in Congress, but that's as high an office as he will ever get in politics, I fear.
