13. I keep seeing these pro-"oil sand" commercials on MSNBC

Nobody can tell me the amount of money that big oil spends advertising on cable news doesn't translate into a lack of coverage about the dangers of pollution.

But, I suspect President Obama will give the thumbs up to the Keystone XL pipeline.

He's okayed offshore drilling, is talking about okaying drilling in ANWR. I suspect he'll sign the permit giving the thumbs up to the KXL with a big sh!t eating grin.

He knows where his campaign dollars come from.

I'd be surprised, and very happy, if he said NO to the KXL.

North Dakota for 80k year truck driving jobs? As an ex employment interviewer I'm pretty sure they aren't going to be handing those jobs out to anybody who shows up but only those with a lot of experience, great references, bondable, etc.

And how about that little town (Littleton?) is it prepared to be inundated with tons of people? What will all that fracking or whatever the process is do to the environment?

we wouldnt necessarily get all the oil that comes out of this. It would be sold on the international market. More of it would end up in China and India than the US. We dont have a nationalized oil industry.

He's an heir of the Dreyfus financial group; I knew Julia's mother for years back in Philadelphia--a lovely woman who re-married to a rich rich rich someone else--and have met both Julia and her sister Lauren through her mother. Both Julia and her mother are great, good women and are interested in progressive social change.

This is a treasure trove of arguments the Obama administration could use. He could approve the pipeline with accompanied legislation that offers every citizen in the Pipelines states compensation for the use of their state (Sarah Palin) did it right? In addition all of the oil the pipeline carries has to be used ONLY in the United States. This makes it possible for us to stop buy oil from dictators, right?

If they do not agree to this legislation, say NO. (Which means it will never happen anyway)

FTR: Obama should reject this harmful pipeline.
