but I think it is a fantastic suggestion. Why not put down the gauntlet? Any Senator or any witness who isn't prepared to state unconditionally that waterboarding is torture should have no problem going 15 minutes with an "aggressive questioner" and his waterboard.

Let's put that challenge to those bastards. You don't think it's torture? Well you go 15 minutes with the waterboard treatment right here on the Senate floor. And if you come through that and still say it is not torture, then we will all vote with you to formally approve waterboarding as an acceptable technique.

one of the Senate committee chairs should arrange a demonstration of the technique on the Senate floor with cameras rolling. Anybody who is not absolutely certain this is torture is, by definitely, either woefully ignorant or pure evil. In either case, they are not qualified for AG or any other position of responsibility.
