1. Gonzalez was the gate keeper |
|
with him gone, Bush has nobody to keep the law off of his back and to obstruct justice (except the spineless, tutu wearing Dems in congress). I don't think Bush will go to bat for his former AG in this case.

2. DONT CONVICT UNTIL THE -W- PARDON THREAT IS OUT IN 2009 |
|
THE DEMS HAVE TO BE BRIGHT ENOUGH TO NOT CONVICT ANYONE UNTIL -----AFTER----- BUSH IS OUT OF OFFICE ....
OTHERWISE, ALL THOSE PARDONS WILL HAPPEN IN 2008

4. There is nothing stopping the bushes from pardoning them now. |
|
There is no law that says they have to be convicted with a crime before they can be pardoned. Blanket pardons to draft dodgers and others have routinely been given by presidents to whole groups of people.
In fact, bush will probably pardon thousands of people for theft, civil rights violations, torture, embezzlement, kick backs, bribery and war crimes before he leaves office. Of course the dancing supremes will approve anything that their masters tell them to.
So the bushes will ride off into the sunset with their loot and we the people will be left paying back the debt.
This is the epitome of the "free market". Stealing a country's wealth and leaving the debt that you stole with the remaining citizens. Friedman would just love it.

6. Of course they'll prosecute Alberto! |
|
They always throw the brown guy under the bus first, especially if it'll save a half dozen Wealthy White Republicans in the process. Rove, Cheney, Bush, Scooter, etc. will all go scott free. If Gonzales doesn't "do the trick", my guess is Condi is next.
