3. To this very day,
it is still hard for me to believe. I cannot fathom it even now. Rest In Peace, Noble Prince.

4. I remember my parents coming home from shopping in Norfolk...
We lived in Virginia Beach at the time. The first thing they said was: "Gaines, run and turn on the TV. We heard that President Kennedy has been shot, and he might have been killed." Shortly after I did, Walter Cronkite gave us the sad news. I was but five at the time, but I'll always remember it. Also remember watching on the Today show when they covered Oswald being led out for his booking--and Jack Ruby shooting him, live on the air.

I remember the funeral cortege for JFK, and Jackie lighting the flame at his gravesite.

America changed forever on Nov. 22, 1963. :-(

5. Thank you for posting this, Swede
OMG, I remember this so clearly. It's as if November 22, 1963 was yesterday.

I've been searching today for footage of JFK's funeral procession, but came up empty on Google. Hopefully, someone else might be able to do a better job of locating it than I.

Kicked and recommended for those not old enough to remember that horrible, tragic day.

7. Its hard to believe so much time has passed..........
43 years where did the time go. I often wonder what could have been all those years ago. America I think was cheated, we certainly lost our innocence and trust in government from that day forward. Let us never forget.

9. K & R
I was a sophomore in high school at the time. I remember it so clearly. We began hearing the rumors at lunch time in the school cafeteria. For me it was confirmed in my 6th period algebra class when the school principal came on the P.A. ("public address system" for you younger folks) and confirmed what we had been hearing. A pall that was more physical than veritable fell over everyone. That same pall hangs with me to this very day. The unthinkable happened on November 22, 1963, and our nation and the world is the worse for it even now.

10. This brought me to tears. I was only 8 when it happened, but
like so many people, those four days are seared into my mind. I know in my heart and soul that things would be different now had that not happened.
