I made changes to the earlier version of this video posted over the weekend. I realized I failed to include $97 oil, and fixed some other "glitches" like some of the sentences being cut off towards the end. This should be a better version. I've also decided on a title that seems to best describe the video and fits within the YouTube limit.

Clips of all the miserable news in just a two week period beginning on November 1, 2007, culminating with clips of comments from some the GOP Presidential hopefuls and their machinistic wet dreams of nuking Iran.

Thanks to all those who suggested great titles for the previous video. Now be kind and K&R this improved version.

1. Won't be a dime's worth of difference if HRC is elected.
I know some Dem voters would happily be Hillaried rather than Rudied.

Me, I'd prefer a choice somewhat larger than the one between corporate fascism and corporate fascism lite.

Run a decent progressive Dem, my friends, or you can forget my vote.

2. Bullshit! We aren't electing dictators here. They are still PART of our party.
The party ideals and the party platform...remember. Whether it's Hillary or Kucinich, Edwards or Obama etc. They represent us...they don't just take over and do what they want...though the Bush administration makes it seem that way keep in mind that Bush represents the neocons and the republican party. He is doing what the party wants him to do no matter how the republicans may act distant from him they vote right with him.

Hillary will do the same and follow our party's platform. You act as if they will be dictators doing whatever insane idea comes into mind. Get as many progressive democrats into office as is possible and the party will become more progressive and Hillary or whoever will do what the party dictates. Your letting personalities rule your rationality. The real power is still in the hands of the legislature. We aren't electing kings and queens or dictators but REPRESENTATIVES.
The public isn't behind Bush but the republicans in congress sure as hell are.

"Run a decent progressive Dem, my friends, or you can forget my vote."

That is a cop out. Give me what I want or I won't play? We need a progressive congress and senate...does this mean you won't vote there either unless there is a progressive? Just let the republicans have it eh?
It's your party and unless you are a part of changing it and influencing it to make it more progressive how do you expect it to get there? Would it be easier to get Hillary to listen to you or Rudy? Oh I forgot, you won't vote unless you get a progressive...Yeah that'll teach 'em...that'll teach 'em all.

5. No matter how bad things get...
Edited on Tue Nov-20-07 04:04 PM by Mugsy
It always amazes me that, no matter how bad things get... as this video clearly reveals... Republican voters will dutifully bury their heads in the sand, ratchet up the denial to "get the butterfly net" levels... and fall lockstep to continue to vote for these same people that are destroying not just the country but their own lives.

We all want to vote for someone we actually want instead of voting for someone simply because they have "the best chance of winning"... a determination made not by the voters but by the Media... that's how we got John Kerry. But until we get a President that makes "Instant Runoff Voting" the law of the land, we'll never be able to vote for "the candidate we like most" without having to worry if they're electable or not.

3. Its comments like this that will get us 4 more years of GOP wack-jobs!!
The Republicans are smarter then us ... and they stand behind the GOP nominee, who every it is ... even the right-wing religious crazies are getting behind Rudy ... you can see that with the endorsement by Pat Robertson.

We need to get a Dem in the White House, period. Vote for whoever you want in the primaries, then get behind the nominee, who ever it is.

Unless you think 4 years of Rudy, or some other Republican nut job would be just great for America.

4. Not a fan of the Top 3
Personally, I find I have serious disagreement with the three top front runners enough for me not to favor their candidacy.

No matter who gets the nomination, they've got my vote (the worst Dem is better than the best Repub). But I'd much rather be voting for a candidate I actually AGREE WITH rather than settle once again for the candidate "with the best chance of winning". That's how we got Kerry as our nominee in '04. Iowa/NH suddenly decided that Bush was no match for a "decorated war hero"... policy positions be damned.
