'This tribute is for one of the greatest woman of our time. Jackie had beauty, courage, strength, kindness, style, and heart. She was a living embodiment every thing good about the USA. So I ask you to enjoy this tribute of rare and beautiful black and white and colour photos. Music by Enya "May It Be"'

1. OH, K & R. A woman who risked her heart, and loved unflinchingly. Always dignified, always classy.
That's absolutely beautiful. If I could give all five R's I would.

2. Very nice.....
Thanks for sharing. "Jack-leen" was a strong and dignified lady, and is very much missed in this world.

4. Gosh, something must be in the air...I spent a restless night last night
thinking about JRK, Jr. and the circumstances surrounding his death (having read a lot which really makes me think the BFEE may actually have had something to do with it, along with his father's). And I mused that at least Jackie didn't have to see it happen.

I'm feeling very blue about how the Kennedy lives seemed to be snuffed out and how horrible we've been living with the BFEE calling the shots....perhaps literally.

5. my dear and departed brother, Willy, worked on RFK's LA campaign...
and was in the room when Robert got shot...too sad, it's just too sad  when will we stop abiding by these/them/'they' as excuses for our governance, as i believe we do indeed both have & harbor enemies within; NO MORE!!

6. That was beautiful.
My two favorite pictures in that montage are the one where she's holding John-John, and he has a strand of her pearls in his hand, and her head is tilted back, and then the one taken in NYC, where she's crossing the street, and she's wearing jeans.

Thank you so much for posting this, bridg.

7. class personified
So much more CLASS than the present squatters in the WH.....
Not to mention the fact that she was married to one of the best/smartest/best looking presidents we had in the 20th century, and was the mother of what I consider to be the best looking man of the 20th century.

John-John (yes I'm so old I still call him that) once said she wanted him to go into law/politics but his heart wasn't in it, so he started George magazine. He wanted to go to Hollywood and be a movie star and all I could think of was "My God what a waste! Gorgeous, charismatic like his daddy
---too bad he didn't follow his heart". John-John's life story was so tragic near the end.

The tentacles of the BFEE know no bounds

8. Two things that always come to mind...
whenever I here something about Jackie BKO:
1. There's a song by -not Enya!- a Canadian punk band, called 'Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis' :9 which has lines in it like "who gave you the right to proclaim yourself Queen?", and the like. Some of it very nasty. I have no idea why they choose Jackie as a target of their rage.

2. Jackie is said to have arranged a special screening of Alain Resnais's notorious Art Film puzzler _Last Year at Marienbad_ at the White House in '62. Only she and John Fitzgerald were there after the first reel. And HE was asleep through :boring: the rest of it.

Well, she tried, and I applaud her for it.

9. I think that video contains the only picture I have ever seen
Of Jackie with a cigarette! WOW.

I sobbed the day of her funeral as well. I tossed roses in the ocean from the beach behind the Kennedy compound for John John (of which a picture of me doing so was published in the Washington Post or the LA Times ... I didn't ever see it, but my brother from California sent it to my mother) while playing "Arms of the Angels" cd on the boom box from the beach. Each one of their deaths have taken just a bit more from my heart that will never be replaced.

10. That's the way she wanted it.
I don't know if it was a role-model thing or what, but she and President Kennedy asked that they not be photographed smoking. They were both heavy smokers, as many were in that day.
