1. This is the classic episode in which Stewart DESTROYED the show -
virtually single-handedly - with one good question from a member of the crowd.

4. So, this is the famous segment of Crossfire that did in Crossfire
Thank you.

I didn't see it because programs like Crossfire are what prompted me to kill my television set.

14. Stewart was on the show in Oct. 2004
and the announcement that Crossfire was being canceled came in Jan. 2005, although, there were rumors of Crossfire's demise before then.

9. Ripping Him a New One ....

A Wikipedia article on "ripping a new one" should consist of nothing but this.

10. After this show...
Crossfire is gone.
Begala isn't on the tube anymore.
Tucker got rid of his bow tie (Jon made fun of it!).

Now, if they would finally get rid of Tucker...

13. K & R. Thanks for the reminder. I loved it when he said, "I'm not your monkey."
I never watched Crossfire, so I wasn't familiar with the show, however, I did watch this episode.

I have to confess, I was concerned as I watched the show, live, that he was bombing. Until he called Carlson a "dick". Then I cheered up immensely! MKJ

15. Jon is awesome as a comedian, with his faces and his timing
here he was slightly funny and his heart was showing. I'd love to see him debate a worthy adversary.

Thanks for the keeper.

"How old are you"

"35"

"And you wear a BOW TIE??"

lights out
:-)
