7. No candidate is promising same-sex marriage in all 50 States

What Obama is promising - just like Hillary and Edwards - is legally recognised civil unions that would give same-sex couples access to the same rights as "straight" married couples.

Civil unions seem to be working well in Great Britain since they were introduced there 2 years ago. You can read about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civil_partnerships_in_the_United_Kingdom

I don't even know if there are still people in England campaigning for same-sex "marriage". But I know there are already lots of same-sex couples asking for a divorce!

8. I love Obama, but I'm not crazy about this ad. I don't think it plays well in the Midwest.

People here expect modesty and humility in any candidate. In Minnesota, they punished Mondale for the excesses of the Wellstone memorial service. I think people here will feel this ad is a little too messianic, and want more meat-and-potatoes about the candidate and what policies he supports. Just my opinion, anyway.
