Thanks for this, as we go into the holiday season some of us in the Motion Picture Industry are/have been unemployed since Nov. 5th, and the last of the shows close this week...

BUT we are standing strong in solidarity!


TV/Film workers are gathering on Sun. Dec. 9th 10am at Mann's Chinese on Hollywood Blvd. for rally and march. Should anyone be in the area.... :)

Writers Guild of America strike. If it happens to one of us it happens to all of us.

5. All workers...and all DU'ers...could learn from this video.

All those of us working in other jobs, who have unions who can't or won't strike...or those of us without unions...could learn something from this strike. Namely, that they can and should get fair wages, medical care and compensation instead of boosting the obscene take of the CEO's.

And all DU'ers who post those mile-long treatises, imagining they are Chomskys or writing a term paper, could learn from this video - you're better off saying short, succinct, to-the-point statements.

In case you didn't hear, you can buy boxes of pencils (a buck a box) which will be shipped to the CEO's of the megacorporations who run the TV networks and studios. Thanks for posting. Supporting the unions is good for all of us. The screenwriters guild has given us so much pleasure, this is the least we can do for them.
