I was proud to help create the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) during the Clinton Administration, which today provides health insurance for six million children. In New York alone, almost 400,000 children benefit from CHIP every month. The Senate recently passed a bill that -- if it became law -- would offer coverage to 3.8 million more uninsured children, including an additional 72,000 children in New York who will have access to health care. The legislation would also help reach many of the almost 300,000 children in New York who live in families that are already eligible but not yet enrolled. Unfortunately, President Bush decided to veto this bipartisan bill. With the stroke of a pen, President Bush has robbed nearly four million uninsured children of the chance for a healthy start in life and the health coverage they need but can't afford. I will continue to fight to provide health insurance to all children and to pursue quality, affordable health care for all Americans.

who died because insurance would not pay for her medical care, she needed a transplant, I believe. Hillary & Obama are first and second in taking money from big pharma/insurance co's & you cannot be for change if you are beholding to those who profit from rationing health care.

Support who you will, but know the enemy & know what we are up against. The status quo gets us nowhere. You can't fight 'em if you are taking their money.

Ask her family how they feel.

He dishonestly said that Hillary accused him of causing the girl's death. What an awful lie! I don't know how anybody can stand a guy like that.

I was all for edwards until he started playing into the RNC and MSM smearing of Clinton. Then I pretty much lost respect for him. Gore anyone?

THIS is what THE fight is all about, people who are getting screwed by big corporate lobbyist money. Edwards is the voice of the people. Sadly, this young lady and more like her are dying, because corporate money buys the candidates...you know anybody that fits that bill?
